The Granby Senior Center will hold a Gingerbread House Contest, and asks local businesses and community members to create a gingerbread house that reflects their own personality. Entries must be dropped off at the Senior Center on Thursday, Dec. 3 or Friday, Dec. 4, by appointment.
Senior Center staff will take pictures of each entry and display them on the Granby Senior Center Facebook page as well as on the Granby Living Facebook page. Members of the community can vote for their favorite house. Winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 11. Here are the categories and prizes:
1st Place Adult Professional–$100 sponsored by the Farmington Valley VNA
1st Place Adult Home Baker–$100 sponsored by MeadowBrook of Granby
2nd Place Adult Home Baker–$50 sponsored by Home Helpers of Farmington Valley
3rd Place Adult Home Baker–$25 sponsored by Home Helpers of Farmington Valley
1st Place Teen (13-18 years old)–$50 sponsored by Arden Courts of Avon
1st Place Child (up to 12 years old)–$50 Gift Card to Neckers sponsored by the McLean Home Care & Hospice
