The COVID-19 pandemic has slowed progress on some Friends projects, but we have still accomplished quite a lot in the past few months.
The Survey and Planning Grant linked to the Cossitt building should be completed by the end of December. This project was made possible by funds provided by the Pomeroy-Brace Fund Grant available through the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and Friends membership dues and public donations. The Grant Report will give the Friends and the Town of Granby valuable information about the Cossitt Library building’s existing condition and a prioritized list of what can be done to fix current problems and prevent future ones.
The Friends’ Annual Membership Meeting was Oct. 20 on Zoom. The newly updated bylaws introduced staggered terms to ensure future turnover of Trustees. Trustees elected are Pat Bossler, Carol Bressor, Harry Werner, Judy Guarco, Ken Kuhl, Virgil Paggen, Susan Werner, Bruce Sullivan and Winnie Sumner.
