Jordan E. Grossman, Ed.D.

I hope this message finds you and your family well. I want to take this time to thank the entire Granby Public Schools’ community for its support this year and wish the entire community all the best from my family to yours during the holiday season.

I would be remiss if I did not recognize our students and staff who have been actively honoring our veterans on Veterans Day, engaging in food and clothing drives and many other service projects that make a difference in our community. The Granby community should feel proud that both students and staff are working selflessly to make our community better.

I would like to acknowledge the outstanding work the Granby Public Schools’ Equity Team has put forth the last several months. The team of over 30 members includes participants that have made at least a two-year commitment to developing and monitoring a plan, as well as building their own consciousness. The membership includes teachers, administrators, parents, students, Board of Education representation and community members at large.

The mission of the Granby Public Schools’ Equity Team is to lead the district in creating and holding all stakeholders accountable for an Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism Action Plan that increases consciousness, responsiveness and advocacy around critical race and equity issues.

The administration is diligently preparing the Fiscal Year 2021-22 (FY22) budget. The FY22 Superintendent’s Plus One Budget will be presented to the Granby Board of Education on Jan. 6. As we move forward with the budget process, I encourage everyone to be involved. Granby Public Schools are built on strong community support and involvement. Below are key dates for the community to take part in the budget process:

Jan. 6: FY22 Plus One Budget, Board of Education Meeting, 7 p.m.

March 3: FY22 Administrative Budget, Board of Education Meeting, 7 p.m.
