Stay Home, Stay Creative

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be felt community-wide. The last month has brought numerous challenges to Granby families including home-schooling, working from home, social distancing, not to mention the personal sacrifice of so many first responders, healthcare workers, and other front-line employees who continue to provide essential services to us all.

Normally the GEF hosts its annual trivia contest, the Gran-Bee in the spring. It is our largest fundraiser, enabling us to provide education grants throughout the year, fulfilling our mission of enriching the Granby community. While we were disappointed to cancel the Gran-Bee, the GEF would like to offer a different community activity, a virtual initiative for kids called “Staying Home, Staying Creative” on our Facebook page.

Please share your student’s creativity (visual arts, crafts, musical performance, creative writing, or other art work) for the community to enjoy. Email to marketing@granbyeducationfoundation.org

We will continue to focus on the good: Acts of kindness by neighbors, drive-by birthday parades, teddy bear scavenger hunts, and red heart thank you signs in home windows and front lawns all over town. Together the Granby community, and our country, will persevere and be stronger.

The GEF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and entirely staffed by volunteers. Working together, the GEF will continue to enrich our community with quality arts and education programming for Granby residents of all ages.
