Help Granby choose spending projects from HFPG grant

In 2019, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving established $100,000 community funds for each of the 29 towns in the Foundation’s region, which includes the town of Granby. The purpose of these funds is to support residents in taking ownership around the needs in their towns, encourage broad and inclusive civic engagement and anchor the Hartford Foundation in each town.

Granby residents will play a lead role in deciding how their town funds will be used. Each town’s funds will be handled by an advisory committee of town residents that must be inclusive, representative and reflective of all of the residents of the community. If you are interested in becoming part of the Granby Greater Together Advisory Committee, please contact granbygreatertogether@gmail.com

The advisory committee will identify community needs and design a grantmaking process aimed to ensure that the community funds can have the greatest impact for the benefit of town residents. Hartford Foundation staff will provide guidance on topics such as participatory decision making, grantmaking and fund development, as needed.
