Gift Book Trees

Patrons and townspeople are invited to continue the tradition of sharing holiday cheer by giving gift books to children and seniors, to be distributed by Granby Social Services. Pick a tag from the holiday tree in the Children’s Room, gender and age given, and/or from the Adult Room tree for a senior. Purchase and wrap a book(s) and return no later than Saturday, Dec. 13. Tags will be available beginning Nov. 29. Share the joy of reading this holiday season.

An Historic Christmas

Storrowtown Museum Director Dennis Picard will present a program for older children and adults, Dashing Through the Snow: The Real History of Christmas in New England, at Cossitt on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m. Picard has presented two other well received historical programs at Cossitt. Join us for an interesting hour and delicious refreshments.

Mini Fundraisers

The Friends offer selections of DVDs and CDs, including holiday music, for sale in the Adult Room, accepting donations throughout the year. Check out the new best sellers and holiday magazines while enjoying a cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa.
