Celebrate autumn in Connecticut at AppleFest, hosted by the First Congregational Church, located at 219 N. Granby Road! On Saturday, Sept. 30, the day starts at 9 a.m. with a church-wide tag sale. Early birds welcome! From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the tag sale continues with a wide variety of area artisans and vendors displaying their wares for sale. Come hungry and enjoy some delicious homemade goods.

For the sixth year, enjoy this traditional taste of New England at this fun-filled event with crafters and vendors, a super-sized tag sale of gently-used hand-selected home furnishings, housewares and sporting equipment, and locally grown produce. Choose hot dogs, chili, soup, baked potatoes and the famous cheese bread for lunch. For dessert have a slice or a full apple pie or choose from many other home-baked items.
“Each year, AppleFest grows as people around the community come to expect it,” said Rev. Ginny McDaniel. “The variety of the vendors is eclectic, interesting and there are new ones each year. The food is always a big draw. We hope you’ll come, shop and stay for lunch!”
Admission and parking are free. AppleFest will be held rain or shine, using indoor and outdoor covered spaces. Contact the church office if you have any questions (860-653-4537).
