It is hard to believe that another school year is upon us. As these last few weeks and days of summer come and go, the PTO is hard at work planning and preparing for an exciting 2019-20 academic year.
Our PTO ELF (Enhanced Learning Fund) and STEAM Committees awarded their final grants of the year, bringing the total PTO investment for the 2018-19 school year to over $18,000 between Kelly and Wells.
Last month the PTO hosted our first ever Paint Nite to rave reviews. A big thank you to Brignole Vineyards for graciously donating their beautiful space for the event and to our instructor, Andrea Reilly, for sharing her talent and inspiring our participants to find their inner artists.
March is proving to be a busy month for the PTO. The spring session of our after-school chess program begins on March 4 and will meet on consecutive Mondays through June 3.
The PTO hopes everyone had a safe and joyful holiday season! It’s hard to believe that we have turned the calendar to 2019 and are halfway through our school year.
The PTO Executive Board would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Kelly Lane and Wells Road families, teachers, staff, and administrators, as well as the Granby community at large, for supporting the PTO’s fundraising efforts with the 2018 Jog-a-Thon/Fall Fest. Over 200 families participated in the run on Oct.
With cooler temperatures and changing leaves, there’s no denying that fall is in full swing and so is your Granby PTO.
The PTO Executive Board, as well as our committee chairs and members, are hard at work to make sure that the 2018-19 school year is full of fun, exciting programming and educational experiences for PreK–Grade 5 students and their families. We need your help to ensure our success.
For those new to Granby, or new to the school system, the PTO serves the students, their families and school staff at Kelly Lane Primary School (grades Pre-K-2) and Wells Road Intermediate School (grades 3-5).
