Shared Voices coming to Granby this summer

Shared Voices is a fun, intergenerational chorus for people living in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and their families. Rehearsals will be in Granby on Sunday afternoons, twice a month, May through September.

The program offers a comfortable way to have fun and socialize with others who are living in the early stage of Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. Participants can enjoy the company of others and develop a support system while participating in a musical program. The group is fun, all ages are welcome, no skills required, no memorizing, no auditions; just enjoy a variety of popular, secular music.

Once diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, many people in the early stages find that they become isolated and may withdraw from previous activities. Shared Voices is a no-stress, no-pressure social engagement group.
