If people are looking for service, repair, modifications or customizations for their motorcycles, they should visit American Muscle Cycle Works at 561 Salmon Brook Street in Granby. American Muscle Cycle Works opened in April 2015 and has become the area’s trusted name in motorcycle repair. Along with motorcycle sales, it provides repair and routine maintenance, parts, tire installation, custom designs and paint.

American Muscle Cycle Works primarily works on American muscle cycles, including Harley, Indian and Victory. The company specializes in full restorations and selectively buys and sells used bikes.

At American Muscle Cycle Works, people know who is working on their motorcycles. The staff encourages customers to come into the shop and get to know their service technician by having a one-on-one meeting with them. It gives customers real-time recommendations and a list of inspections when they bring motorcycles for servicing.

The company’s positive reputation is everything. People know they can trust the staff to work on their motorcycles, do the right job and not be surprised with a crazy bill at the end.

“It’s like having a hot rod shop. You’re working on what you like doing,” said owner Tony Novak. “We keep building show bikes.” Novak decided to open the current location because there weren’t any other motorcycle dealerships in the area. The four Harley dealerships are 25 miles or further away. “It’s just a great location for riders. Not too many guys with motorcycles want to get on the highway,” Novak said. “They’d rather take back roads.”

Novak said that he’s most proud of all the custom work that he and his crew have done. Even though American Muscle Cycle Works has only been in business for three years, Novak has been in the industry for many years. At the last two bike shows American Muscle Cycle Works attended, it won the award for having the best bikes for custom work, paint jobs, everything. People look at its products and they say it’s like something that they would find in a magazine.

“So, we’ll keep chipping away, building a customer base that wants to buy quality used bikes or wants their bikes serviced by us. We also do muscle cars. It’s American Muscle Cars and Muscle Bikes,” Novak said. “We’ll keep to that theme of putting out quality American made products.”

American Muscle Cycle Works is open Tuesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information or service, call 860-653-0306.
