Camera Club holds annual exhibit

The Granby Public Library is featuring the 12th annual Granby Camera Club photo exhibit from June 1 to 28. The club was founded 24 years ago to pursue photography as an art form and welcomes all who share a passion to learn, create and enjoy the beauty of photography. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month from September through June at the Granby Senior Center. These meetings feature various special programs related to photographic skills, techniques and printing.

One of the highlights of each meeting is the results of the “scavenger hunt” where members present photos taken since the last meeting that best represents two specific designated words as well as one that is their favorite photo. Club members then select the winners in each category. These photos are displayed in the Community Room of the Granby Senior Center until the next meeting.

While there are some members who have won awards at various exhibits, the club includes photographers of every level of ability. Please visit the library in June to enjoy the 2018 exhibit.
