McLean’s Post-Acute and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services partners with Hartford HealthCare Bone and Joint Institute to offer a series of free, educational seminars, open to the community.

Anxiety and Adjustment Difficulties—How to Help Manage and Reduce the Symptoms, will be presented on Thursday, March 8, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Peter Lucchio, Psy.D, will lead the seminar; attendees will learn to identify the experience of anxiety and when it becomes problematic, the triggers for difficulty adjusting to stressors and tools to cope with stress and/or anxiety.

Lucchio completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford and is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology at Hartford Hospital/The Institute of Living. He specializes in the behavioral treatment of physical and psychological problems, and has specific interest in chronic pain conditions, behavioral sleep medicine, obesity/weight loss, as well as athletic performance.
