The Community Scholarship Association of Granby (CSAG) offers annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Applicants must be Granby residents, soon-to-be high school graduates and accepted at an institution of higher learning approved by the selection committee. Our largest scholarship, The David A. Schupp, Jr. Memorial Scholarship, will be awarded to a student pursuing a major in science, technology, engineering or math. The primary basis for selection shall be scholarship, with due consideration given to need, initiative, character and responsibility.
CSAG has been performing this service since the first class graduated from Granby Memorial High School. To date, while managing contributions of all kinds but particularly funds from a Holcomb Family Endowment and annual fundraising in conjunction with The Granby Road Race, CSAG has awarded thousands of dollars to nearly 400 students making a significant impact on their young lives.
With the always rising costs of a college education, CSAG asks former CSAG scholarship recipients as well as the Granby community to please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to CSAG so that scholarships and/or more substantial awards can be provided. Contributions should be made payable to CSAG and mailed to: Steve Schock, Treasurer, 19 Moosehorn Road, West Granby, CT 06090. You will receive a confirmation letter indicating the tax-deductibility of your contribution.
Scholarship applications are available online through Naviance, at the College and Career Center, or see your guidance counselor.
Completed scholarship applications should be submitted to Mrs. Caruso in the school counseling office on or before May 1.
