The cadets of Lost Acres Fire Department Explorer Post 1936 would like to thank all of the individuals and businesses that contributed to the success of its car wash on June 6. The event was a success. The cadets, advisors and other members of the LAFD washed over 35 vehicles that day. Proceeds will be used to support a field trip later this summer to the 9/11 Memorial in New York City along with future events and equipment for the program. In addition to all the individuals who came out to support the cadet program through the car wash, a number of local businesses made generous donations of soap, sponges, buckets and space within their businesses for advertisement. Thanks to Beman Hardware, Horses & Hounds, Wholesale Auto Supply and other local businesses for their contributions.
