Civic Club March to Drum Factory

The Granby Civic Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, May 21 at 1 p.m. to visit the Noble and Cooley Center for Historic Preservation in Granville, Mass. The Noble and Cooley Drum Factory has been making drums since 1854, manufacturing toy drums as well as drums for the Civil War and other important political rallies and events. The buildings and original equipment at the site offer a unique opportunity to experience Yankee ingenuity as it impacted manufacturing in mid-1800s forward. The tour of the museum (cost is $5 per person) will be followed by the monthly meeting and refreshments. Husbands and friends are welcome to join the group that day.
