March

How blessed we are to welcome this new month of March with
its promise of spring days to come.
We smile at the beauty of the daffodils, the
bravery of the tiny crocuses, and at the sight of returning
robins in a field, or on a lawn.
Yes, the winter has taken its toll with illnesses, and
house bound days off heavy snows, slippery ice, bitter cold,
and chilling winds.
Yet, now the sun renews us with its strength, and brings joy
into our souls.

Welcome, March, dear friend.
The hope of your coming has carried us through winter’s
harshest days.
And so, you are here, and by your presence, let us know that
April’s warm days will soon follow—all in God’s
eternal plan.
