Volunteers and photos needed!
By Sue Hancock
The next meeting of the Safe Grad Night committee is May 11 at 7 p.m. in the GMHS Media Center. The 2015 GMHS Grad Night event will be held at the Granby YMCA the evening of graduation (June 18) and offers a cost-free, fun-filled, substance-free event for the new grads. This event is funded by a generous grant from the Granby Community Fund, an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization whose membership is comprised of agencies serving Granby citizens, parent donations and donations from local businesses. This event, however, cannot happen without volunteers; they are needed to help with food, room set-up, decorations and chaperoning.
If you are interested in volunteering, please join us for our May meeting. The event is chaperoned by parents of underclassmen, not by parents of the seniors, so volunteers are needed. If you can’t attend but want to help, please contact the following individuals:
Room set up: Darci D’Aleo at darcidaleo@gmail.com
Food (set up or pick up from businesses): Janice Stingle at stingles@cox.net
Chaperones: Joan Kuhnly at joan.kuhnly@gmail.com
Pictures needed – looking for high school years photos!
The Parents for a Safe Graduation party committee is looking for photos displaying the Class of 2015’s high school years. If you have photos that you are willing to share, please send them to Darci D’Aleo at darcidaleo@gmail.com
