50th class reunion

By Sue Lanigan

The Class of 1964, Granby Memorial High School, held its 50th reunion on Oct. 18 at the Lodge at Salmon Brook Park. Forty-three people, including 23 classmates, attended from states as far away as Texas, Kentucky and Florida. All four class officers were present, including Dorcus Seaton Forsyth, president, Bob Walker, vice president, Nancy Huntington Moore-Fuss, treasurer and Holly Holcomb Condon, secretary. Guests included coach Ken King and Carolyn Flint, 7th grade teacher of many in the class, who brought along her grade book for her students to view. Class member Al Hofmann served as master of ceremonies and created an entertaining presentation of photographs from the past. A delicious buffet dinner was prepared by Katering By Karen. Through the years, classmates have expressed an interest in holding their reunions in Granby. The Lodge was the perfect place and the class was grateful that it was available for this event. All agreed that the evening was a huge success!
