Join in the fun and excitement of America’s foremost youth program for boys—scouting

Granby Cub Scout Pack 325 is looking for new members to join Cub Scouts! A joining event will be held at 6:30 p.m., September 10 in the Kearns School Multipurpose Room. Current scouts and their families will be present to discuss their scouting experience and what it means to them. Scouting is an excellent opportunity to grow and build strong bonds with family and friends in your local community. Scouting offers many events and opportunities covering a range of indoor and outdoor adventures.

Scouting is for boys in the first grade through high school. The program combines outdoor activities, sports, academics and more in a fun and exciting program that helps families teach ideals such as honesty, good citizenship, and respect. Last year, more than 50,000 youth participated in scouting programs across Connecticut!

At the meeting, boys from 1st to 5th grade will have an opportunity to meet other Cub Scouts and interested boys and participate in activities. Parents can learn more about how scouting can benefit their child as well as meet the local volunteers.

Beginning in the first grade, scouting provides children with hands-on experiences that engage the imagination and promote independence. The positive impact scouting has on youth and the opportunities scouting provides to volunteers have a ripple effect that extends to all parts of our communities.

The Connecticut Rivers Council is one of New England’s largest private youth-serving organizations. It delivers scouting programs that develop character, citizenship, fitness, and leadership skills. The Boy Scouts of America collaborates with hundreds of churches, school affiliated groups and other community organizations that organize and operate local scout groups.
